PRAGUE ZOO
By its full name of the Zoological Gardens of the Capital City of Prague, the zoological gardens, situated in the lower part of the Prague district of Troja, opened on 28 September 1931. It is a modern zoo which shows animals in conditions which come as close as possible to the natural environment. One of the main objectives of the modern zoological gardens is essentially nature protection. Prague Zoo is greatly devoted to the protection of animal species in human care and in places of their natural habitats. It coordinates the breeding of selected species and animals reared in Prague Zoo are returned to nature in their original home.
